Somehow an entire month has gone by since our sweet Ellie joined our family and I can hardly believe it! Leading up to her birth I was nervous how I could have the same amount love for her that I had for Liam because it didn't seem humanly possible. However, just as everyone said, your heart really does double in size (or I'm assuming triple or quadruple) and I find myself with an abounding amount of love for these two precious babies we have been blessed with. I really don't think I have ever ...
Hospital Bag Essentials (the second time around)
Leading up to having Liam, I read post after post on what to pack to take to the hospital for delivery and recovery. I packed a little bit of everything (serial over-packer here!) so I would have ALL THE THINGS. Needless to say, I ended up with a ton of stuff I didn't even pull out of my bag and definitely didn't need. So today I'm here to share with you what this second time Mom is packing in her bag so you can leave all of the extra stuff at home. 1. Comfy and nursing friendly PJs This ...
Postpartum Necessities for the New Mom
Let's face it, while many people claim that childbirth is beautiful, the postpartum recovery period afterwards is far from glamorous. Regardless of how you deliver, there are a lot of items that people don't want to talk to you about. Pregnancy Update: Weeks 30-33
What's new: This baby is breech. She's been in the same position since our 28 week ultrasound and it's starting to make me panic. After our appointment last Friday where we talked in-depth about what that could mean if she still doesn't move in the coming weeks, she turned! And then moved right back into her comfy position of laying her head up by my right ribs and her feet at my left hip. Clearly this little lady is stubborn...no idea where she gets that from. Worst case scenario at this point ...
10 Lifesaving Newborn Must-Haves
1. Boppy Pillow If you're nursing, a Boppy pillow is an absolutely must! I even wished I had one for upstairs and another for downstairs so we weren't carting it back and forth. Total first world problems, I know, but it made nursing so much more comfortable for me. Especially in the early days when you feel like you're nursing around the clock. And even if you're not nursing, the Boppy is great for propping up your baby during tummy time or on a bed or couch where you want to keep them in one ...
Pregnancy Update: Weeks 26-29
Top | Shorts Hello 3rd Trimester! I am now officially in the 3rd trimester and feeling good! I can't believe that in TWO (ish) short months we will be meeting this sweet baby girl. Time is seriously flying and while I want to savor every second of Liam being an only child while I still can, I also can't wait to hold this precious being that is rolling around inside me as we speak. What's new: We had an ultrasound at 28 weeks to check up on Little Miss and her size and, not surprisingly, she ...
