Hello hello! I hope everyone is having an awesome week so far! As we're heading into a scorcher of a weekend here in good ole RVA, I wanted to share with y'all my recent Beauty Favorites of the Summer. It's hotter than hot and unbeilevably humid here so these are some of the products I have been using to keep my makeup from melting off my face. 1. Rimmel BB Cream I love liquid foundation (I'm actually a big fan of a the Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation in the cooler months) but in the ...

Let’s Talk Tuesday #10
The dress above is from PinkBlush and is so comfortable! We went to the Hanover Tomato Festival on Saturday and it was light enough that I wasn't too hot (that's a lie it was 90 degrees) but it was nice and flown so it allowed for some air flow to help keep me (somewhat) cool. Why do weekends after a holiday weekend feel like they are bout 5 minutes long? Can't every weekend be a 4-day weekend? I'll even settle for a 3-day weekend. Can you remember life before the internet? I barely can. I ...
Southern Summer Squash Casserole
Am I the only one who was super picky about vegetables growing up? I pretty much only ate salad and broccoli until middle school. My salads consisted of iceberg with cheese, fake bacon bits, croutons and Italian dressing too so I'm not even sure that really constitutes as vegetables. Until one day, a friend's step dad made us dinner and served us summer squash sautéed with lots of butter, onions, and salt and pepper. To which my vegetable fearing self was like, "Um, no thanks." Our Independence Day. Wishing everyone has a happy and safe holiday! ...
What Being a Mom Means to Me
I genuinely feel like if everyone has a purpose in this world, I was put on this earth to be a Mom. Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a Mom. When I was really little, I even told my Mom I wanted to be a Police officer and have 14 kids. Clearly the career path and number of children has changed (don't worry, we're not going to be the Murchison version of 19 Kids and Counting). But I just always knew I wanted to be a Mother. When it came to actually becoming a mother though, it didn't ...
Let’s Talk Tuesday #9
Who knew we were getting new emojis again? I love it every time new emojis are released! And a breastfeeding emoji? About time. I've started using Picniic to keep us organized and it's a game changer. I can set up to-do lists for both Tyler and I, it has a shared calendar feature (no more husband's forgetting things because they're not listening!) and a shopping list feature so you'll never leave the house without the grocery list again! They have an app as well as a desktop site so you can ...
